Cathay Cargo Terminal operates one of the world's most advanced air cargo terminals, offering world-class cargo handling services for Cathay Cargo and other international airline customers operating at Hong Kong International Airport.

Responsibilities:

• Participate actively in the daily operations to ensure manpower resource, system and equipment functioning effectively and efficiently
• To set and initiate instruction / tasks / targets to Terminal Services teams and subcontractors in daily operations
• To perform onsite inspection during the daily operations
• To ensure the Terminal Services are conformed with the regulatory requirements and customers are provided with consistent and quality services standards
• To lead, empower and develop the team to perform overall daily operations as per the required services standard and prevent potential irregularity
• To monitor the performance of all services suppliers to ensure the service standards are met and initiate suggestions on services improvement
• To communicate all procedural changes and requests to all staff and ensure their full awareness and understanding
• To lead and encourage Terminal Services staff to participate in projects and improvement plans, etc.
• To promote and drive for the LEAN and 5S culture.
• To initiate and implement operations process and procedural review to seek improvement opportunities
• To maintain staff discipline, efficiency, safety and morale in operations
• To assist Duty Manager / Assistant Operations Manager to follow up operations irregularities and preclude recurrence
• To be conversant with the company’s emergency and accident procedures, take the lead during the activation of the business contingency plan
• To ensure warehouse safety and security
• To ensure workplace cleanliness & tidiness

 Requirements:

• Holder of HKDSE/HKAL or Tertiary level educational qualification preferably in Logistics or Transportation
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in airlines, air cargo terminal, ground handling agent, logistic company, warehouse or freight forwarding company, of which minimum 2 years in a supervisory level
• Hands-on experience in the air-cargo terminal operations would be beneficial
• Sound knowledge on air import, export, transshipment cargo and mail operations handling procedures
• Details oriented, a self-motivated team player and confident leader
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Willing to perform shift duty including overnight shift as necessary
