Responsibilities:
- To assume the role of Manager Operations (Head of Terminal Services) in his/her absence
- To lead the Export Cargo Build Up Team, Transit Mail Team, China Post Team, Quick Transfer Team, Interface Cargo Team and Export Cargo Acceptance Team (included Airside Acceptance Team) to implement the agreed operations procedures per required service standards and in accordance with the regulatory requirements
- To assist Manager Operations (Head of Terminal Services) to issue the TSS Operations Notice and ensure all staff acknowledge and follow accordingly
- To communicate all procedural changes and requests to all staff and ensure their full awareness and understanding
- To communicate and cooperate with internal departments in projects, policy and regulation change, and improvement plans, etc.
- To promote and drive for the LEAN and 5S culture.
- To initiate and implement operations process and procedural review to seek improvement opportunities
- To maintain the fallback, interface and other operations procedures with external business partners and government departments
- To maintain staff discipline, efficiency, safety and morale in operations
- To review and monitor the performance of operations regularly and lead the operations improvement projects
- To prepare and generate the operational performance report
- To follow up the operations irregularities and preclude recurrence
- To plan and manage manpower to maximize cost effectiveness and to deliver best customer services
- To assist in developing training programs for staff and contractors for full compliance of operating procedures and meeting the services level agreements
- To be conversant with the company’s emergency and accident procedures and take the lead during the event of emergency and accident activation
Requirements:
- HKCEE/ HKDSE or Tertiary level educational qualification preferably in Logistics or Transportation
- Preferably 5 years’ experience in airlines, air cargo terminal, ground handling agent, logistic company, warehouse or freight forwarding company, of which minimum 3 years in a supervisory level or above
- Hands-on experience in the air-cargo terminal is advantage
- Sound knowledge on import, export, transshipment cargo and mail handling operations and procedures
- Maturity with highly developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to work effectively with all levels of personnel in different functions
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese
